WAEC Seized My Results Twice – Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon

Honorable Patrick Obahiagbon in an interview with Punch Newspaper revealed his ordeal with the west african examination council exam (WAEC).

He said his Results were seized twice ‘cos of the ‘big grammars’ he used.

Punch: Did you write exams in school in these big words?

Honorable: I used such words very-very freely in my exams both at the secondary school and in my university and little wonder I had the misfortune of my English results being seized intermittently in my O’ Levels. WAEC released my results for the other subjects and withheld my English result. This happened for about three years. Twice, I passed the University Matriculation Examination but I could not proceed to the University because of my English results that were not released. At the end of the day, it was released after the third attempt.

Punch: Why do you always use ‘big
grammar’?

Honorable: I am not really consensus ad idem with those who opine that my idiolect is advertently obfuscative. No no no, it’s just that I am in my elements when the colloquy has to do with the pax nigeriana of our dreams and one necessarily needs to fulminate against the alcibiadian modus vivendi of our prebendal political class.

Punch: How do you talk to your wife,
children and even your friends?

Honourable: I relate with my family and friends very warmly and in an atmosphere of camaraderie, stripped of my confutational habiliment and gladiatorial homilies. I am a very peaceful, calm, level-headed and celestially attuned soul personality.

Punch: Is this the way you proposed to your wife, speaking high tech grammar?

Tips On How To Kiss

Kissing is one of the favorite parts of falling in love.

Make sure your breath is minty fresh and clean

Be careful, as some mints may leave a bad aftertaste and make your breath worse. Water is the best bet! Leaves you no aftertaste, and freshens your mouth and does not leave you thirsty.

Set the mood

If you truly want your kiss to be passionate, you will need to set the right mood. That doesn’t mean that you have to throw rose petals everywhere and light a hundred candles, but you should be in a place without distractions, that way you can both focus on each other and your passionate kiss. Public places are generally not so good for kisses, as you can get people staring at you or even heckling you. Try to find a place that’s a bit private, but still intimate for you to share your kiss.

Approach the kiss with confidence

Try to kiss their cheek so they turn their head your way. A middle-aged woman, Sophia Arapogun, has prayed an Agege customary court to dissolve her 11-year-old marriage because her husband, Patrick, abandoned her for two years.

Mrs Arapogun, who lives with her husband and his six children from his previous marriage, said he never asked her how she fed.

“My husband buys foodstuffs for his children and asks them to keep them in their room. He never asked what I needed at a particular moment and we lived together,” she said.

The petitioner said her husband came home at a time to sprinkle something that looked like blood all over the house, adding that she worked as a clerical officer in her husband’s hospital. She said:

“I used to package melon to sell in
neighbouring markets but since my husband didn’t like the idea, he employed me in his hospital.

There was a day I took N300 to take passport photograph, he shouted at me in the presence of his children and I felt humiliated. I was more shocked when he made sure I refunded the money.”

She is seeking an accommodation from him as compensation if her petition is granted.

Patrick said he married her because he heard a pathetic story about her, adding:
“I asked if she had any evil spirit or medical problems which didn’t make her conceive during her two previous marriages but she said no; then I married her.”

The respondent, a doctor, said after their marriage, he discovered that three minutes after making love to her, he got a knock on his head.

“Not only did I get a knock, whenever I had the intention of sleeping with her, I would discover rashes on my manhood or my manhood would be twisted.

At times, I would not get erection or my sperm ceases. Since then, I became afraid of everything,” Arapogun said.

He said his hospital crumbled after his wife began to work with him, adding that she stole money on several occasions. “When we lived together, there were times my wife left the bedroom and returned in the morning without any explanation. Our union is bad omen.

I have suffered from swollen legs, slight stroke and it was when I realised my wife defecates in the bucket I used to bathe that I decided to leave with my children because I was not ready to die young and I don’t know what was going to happen next,” he said.

The couple has no issue. President of the court, Pa Adekunle Williams, ordered the petitioner to maintain the peace and adjourned the matter till July 13 for further hearing.

19-Year-Old Bola Tinubu Impersonator Gets N300,000 Bail After Pleading Not Guilty

A 19-year-old student accused of defrauding several people using a fake Facebook account in the name of Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pleaded not guilty in court.

Emmanuel Eto, a 19-year-old National Diploma (ND) II student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara, was arraigned on Monday on a three count-charge of impersonation, conspiracy and cyber fraud at an Ikeja Magistrate’s’ Court.

The Prosecutor, Insp.Edet Okoi, told the court that the accused had between April and May created a Facebook account in the name of Tinubu, a former Lagos governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He allegedly used the account to defraud unsuspecting individual who he lured to apply for job opportunities through the Facebook page,” Okoi said.

“He fraudulently obtained the sum of N26, 850 as processing fees from each of the individuals that subscribed. “Eto lured the public to believe that he had the powers to get employment for all who subscribed.
Eto pleaded not-guilty to all the charges.

Magistrate Dan-Oni granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till the 7th of July.

It will be recalled that the student had in May written a confessional statement in which he claimed he was pushed into the crime by financial constraints caused by his mother’s illness.

“I did what I did because my father is late and my mother has been sick for a long while,” he had said.

APC Refuses Alleged Relocation Of Boko-haram Detainees To Anambra

The All Progressives Congress, APC,
South-East geopolitical zone, has
described as,”blatant falsehood”
the alleged plan by Federal
Government to transfer suspected
Boko Haram detainees to
Ekwulobia Prison in Aguata Local
Government Area of Anambra
State.
This came as angry youth,
yesterday, paralysed commercial
activities in markets in Anambra
State protesting the alleged plan.
But in a swift reaction, the
Spokesperson, APC, South-East,Mr.
Osita Okechukwu in a statement
said,” we wish to state categorically
that the rumour making the rounds
that Boko Haram detainees will be
transferred to Anambra State or
any other state for that matter is
blatant falsehood.
“We have made contacts with the
Presidency, Nigeria Prison Service,
Ministry of Internal Affairs and
they have assured us that there is
no iota of truth in the mischievous
rumour.
“In the clarification, Nigeria Prison
Service stated unequivocally that,
‘most of the terror suspects are
awaiting trial and so there is no
way they can be moved to another
state, because they must be tried in
the state where they committed the
crime’.
“They went further to state that
their primary and traditional duty
is to move detainees from prison to
trial courts adding that moving
high profile suspects from a
distance more than 1000 kilometers
from Maiduguri to Onitsha will be
near to very difficult.”

I Respect Tinubu, I Will Meet Him Soon, Says Saraki

Despite rebelling against the wish
of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) for Ahmad Lawan to be
senate president, Bukola Saraki
says he still holds Bola Tinubu,
national leader of the party, in high
esteem.
Tinubu was himself opposed to
Saraki’s bid to lead the senate but
Saraki defied the directive of APC
to align with Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) to clinch the country’s
number three position, and both
the national assembly and the APC
have known no peace since then.
But speaking to journalists in Abuja
on Saturday, Saraki admitted that
he was not in agreement with
Tinubu regarding the leadership of
the assembly, but he said he had
reached out to him in the interest
of the progress of the party and the
nation.
“Regards to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu;
as you all know, he is one of the
leaders of the party. I have great
respect for him. We have worked
closely together before.
Unfortunately, my group did not
agree with him on this issue,” he
said. “However, we are both
responsible and committed to the
project of the party and Nigeria
that we will overcome this and
move forward.
It is part of our plans, as part of the
healing process, to meet with him
and it will happen soon.”
Saraki noted that out of his respect
for the party and President
Muhammadu Buhari, he dropped
his presidential ambition.
He accused some unnamed
individuals who allegedly worked
against Buhari’s interest of trying
to create enmity between him and
the president.
“I was the first person that stepped
down his political ambition, once
General Buhari announced that he
was going to contest the
presidential election.
And since then, prior to the period
of election, I worked tirelessly to
support his emergence,” he said.
“Even some of my friends who are
not supporting me now are doing
so because I did not support them
in their presidential ambition and
that I supported President Buhari.
That is why I find it funny that the
same people are now claiming to
love Buhari more than me. It is a
very funny world.
“These are people that I was
begging to leave the stage for
Buhari to run since all of us are
young.
They are now the one going round
to say that Saraki did not like
Buhari but time will tell.”
When asked if he would contest the
presidential election in 2019,
Saraki dodged the question in a
diplomatic manner.

artist,Meek Mill. In the video,
which has gone viral since it was
released earlier this month, Davido
is seen discussing with an
unidentified man as they haggle
over a briefcase of dollars and a
bag full of parcels of hard drugs.
There are also lewd scenes in the
video.
The song is supposed to promote
the Omo Baba Olowo crooner’s
gratitude and appreciation to his
fans for their love and support
towards his career over the years.
However, the singer was busy
singing about his enemies and
money, showcasing hard drugs,
Unclothedness and guns in the
video.
Some fans have expressed
dissatisfaction over the song/video,
claiming the talented singer should
have done better by showing
pictures of his fans, his past shows
and encounters with fans, rather
than the display of hard drugs,
Unclothedness and guns. In an

Telegraph, NDLEA’s Head of Public
Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, said,
“The agency considers the musical
video ‘Fans Mi’ inappropriate and
indecent. It has the tendency to
negatively influence and induce
drug use and trafficking.
Besides, it is counter-productive on
the campaign against drug
production, trafficking and abuse.
The agency is investigating the
matter and will take necessary
action.” Also speaking, popular
music video critics, Mrs. Nuella
O’Peters, said, “It’s really
outrageous seeing a brand
ambassador and a mentor to
millions of African youths
indulging in such acts. He even
went as far as using the substance
for cooking in the video.
Can you imagine! It’s uncalled for.
I do hope the Nigeria Broadcasting
Corporation will do something
about the video.” Davido is a song
writer, performer and a recording
artiste from Nigeria. He recently
